ATTW is pleased to announce the 2019 ATTW Graduate Research Award!
ATTW is committed to advancing the research of graduate students in technical and professional communication. This award supports advanced PhD students with clearly defined research projects that contribute to the field of technical and professional communication.
Up to three scholars will receive a monetary award ($500.00) to be used for research expenses and/or to help defray the costs of attending the annual ATTW conference. In addition, award recipients will be featured in a work-in-progress panel presentation at the annual conference in Pittsburgh, PA in 2019. The conference registration fee will be waived. Preference will be given to doctoral students working on their dissertations.
Interested students should submit (as one *.pdf file):
· a prospectus that describes the current research project, its contribution(s) to disciplinary conversations in technical and professional communication, and plans for future work (Please limit to 2-3 single-spaced pages.),
· a description of how the award will be used to support the research.
· a current CV, and
· a letter of support from a faculty advisor who can confirm the graduate student’s status in the program and describe the project’s disciplinary contributions.
Awards will be given to those with clearly defined research projects that contribute to the field of technical and professional communication.
